About our tables

What size coffee table do you need?

A coffee table is usually about two thirds the length of the sofa in front of it, with 16 to 18 inches between the table and the sofa so you can reach it and still walk past. In a small living room, an oval table is easier to move around than a rectangular one, and a nesting set can replace a coffee table altogether. See our wood nesting tables.

Natural, dark or sculptural walnut?

For a natural walnut look, choose a plain oval Japandi table or a live edge slab, which keep the brown grain in view. For a darker, more modern table, choose one with a black epoxy river. For a sculptural centerpiece, the live edge table on glass legs and the ball-leg epoxy tables are the boldest shapes in the collection.

How do you care for a walnut coffee table?

Use coasters and keep hot mugs off the surface, wipe spills up rather than leaving them, and dust with a soft cloth. Walnut slowly lightens in direct sunlight, so a table by a sunny window keeps its tone longer with a curtain or blind.
