About our tables

A live edge dining table is a table whose long sides keep the natural outer edge of the tree instead of being cut straight. Our live edge dining tables are solid walnut or solid chestnut, made to order in sizes from 42 x 30 to 95 x 40 inches, and many add an epoxy resin river between the slabs. Customers have left 21 reviews on the tables in this collection, with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5.

Which live edge tables can you choose from?

Terra Chestnut Chestnut with black epoxy, a rustic farmhouse table
Silverrill Walnut A clear resin river that shows the live edges
Manhattan, Hudson Walnut Blue resin rivers
Mississippi Walnut A navy resin river
Merlot Walnut A burgundy resin river

What size live edge dining room table do you need?

Plan on about 24 inches of table edge per person. A 60 x 30 inch table seats 4, a 72 x 34 inch table seats 6, an 80 x 36 inch table seats 8 and a 95 x 40 inch table seats 10. For a live edge kitchen table, the 42 x 30 and 47 x 28 inch sizes fit two people. Because a live edge narrows and widens along its length, the usable width of each top varies by an inch or two from one table to the next.

Rustic or modern live edge?

A live edge top reads as rustic on wooden legs, as on the Pioneer farmhouse table, and as modern on metal legs, as on the Harvest. An epoxy river pushes the table further toward modern, especially in black or clear resin. Chestnut gives a lighter, more rustic look than walnut.

What is normal in a live edge table?

A live edge table is cut from the outside of the tree, so it shows features a straight-cut table hides. Bark edges, small natural voids, filled knots and changes in colour between heartwood and sapwood are part of the wood, not defects. No two tops look the same, and we send you photos of your finished table before it ships, so you see the actual top you are buying.

Can you see live edge tables near you?

If you are near New Jersey, New York or Connecticut, you can see our furniture in person at our showrooms in Somerset and Fairfield, New Jersey. Elsewhere we ship free to the United States and the United Kingdom. Each table is made to order, with about 6 weeks to build and about 2 weeks in transit, or about 3 + 1 weeks with Expedite (+$199 per item).

Do you sell chairs to go with a live edge table?

Yes, separately, so you can order the number you need. See our walnut dining chairs, or browse every table style in our walnut dining tables.
