About our tables

An epoxy river table is a table made from two slabs of solid wood joined by a band of poured resin, so the resin runs down the middle like a river between two banks. At UPP Home almost every epoxy table is solid walnut, most with a live edge along the river, and the resin comes in clear, black, blue, navy, green or burgundy. Customers have left 60 reviews on the epoxy tables in this collection, with an average rating above 4.9 out of 5.

The most reviewed piece in the collection is the Live Edge Blue Epoxy River Side Table, with 30 customer reviews. For live edge tables without resin, see our live edge dining tables, and for every walnut table in one place, our walnut dining tables.

What size epoxy dining room table do you need?

Plan on about 24 inches of table edge per person. A 60 x 30 inch table seats 4, a 72 x 34 inch table seats 6, an 80 x 36 inch table seats 8 and a 95 x 40 inch table seats 10. Because the river runs along the length of the table, a longer size also shows more of the resin.

Which resin colour should you choose?

Blue and navy rivers are the most striking and suit a room with neutral walls. Black resin makes the walnut look darker and works well in a modern dining room. Burgundy warms the walnut tone, and a clear river shows the wood edges through the resin, the quietest option. Each product page shows the colours offered for that model, and custom colours are available from a quote.

How do you care for an epoxy river table?

Treat the resin like the wood around it. Use coasters and placemats, keep hot pans and dishes off the surface, and wipe spills up rather than leaving them. Epoxy can turn slightly yellow over time in strong sunlight, so a table that sits by a sunny window keeps its colour longer with a curtain or blind. Dust with a soft cloth and avoid harsh cleaners.

How long does an epoxy table take to arrive?

Dining tables are made to order. Building takes about 6 weeks and shipping about 2 weeks, or about 3 + 1 weeks with Expedite (+$199 per item). Each product page shows its own build and delivery time. Shipping is free to the United States and the United Kingdom.

What does the warranty cover?

The solid wood structure and joinery of our tables are covered for 10 years. The epoxy is covered for 2 years against separating from the wood and cracking through the resin. See our warranty for the details. We send you photos of your finished table before it ships, and you can see our furniture in person at our showrooms in Somerset and Fairfield, New Jersey.

Frequently asked questions

What is an epoxy river table?
It is a table made from two slabs of solid wood joined by a band of poured epoxy resin, so the resin runs down the middle like a river. Ours are solid walnut, most with a live edge.
What resin colours are available?
Our epoxy tables come with clear, black, blue, navy, green or burgundy resin. Each product page shows the colours offered for that model.
Can you put hot dishes on an epoxy table?
No. Use trivets and placemats for hot pans and dishes. Heat can mark both the resin and the wood finish, and heat damage isn't covered by the warranty.
Does epoxy turn yellow?
Epoxy can turn slightly yellow over time in strong sunlight. Keeping the table out of direct sun slows the change.
Is an epoxy river table a good dining table?
Yes. The resin is hard and sealed, so it handles daily meals like the wood around it. Use coasters, wipe spills and avoid hot dishes, as with any solid wood table.
Can I order a custom size or resin colour?
Yes. We build custom sizes and resin colours from a quote. Custom pieces can't be returned for a change of mind, so we confirm the specification with you in writing before we start.
