UPP Home Limited Warranty
We build every piece from solid hardwood, check it before it ships and send you photos before it leaves the workshop. If something we made fails because of how we made it, we'll put it right.
Who is covered
You, if you bought the piece new from UPP Home (upphomestore.com, our showrooms or a UPP Home quote), for use in a home in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom. For business use (restaurants, offices, rentals) the structure is covered for 1 year. The warranty doesn't pass to a later owner. This warranty is given by MDN LLC, doing business as UPP Home.
What is covered, and for how long
Periods start on the day the piece is delivered.

Custom pieces (any piece we change for you from what's listed: your own size, leg size or height, wood, finish, shape or design) are covered on the same terms.
Natural wood is not a defect
Solid wood keeps moving with the seasons. These are normal and not covered:
- Differences in colour, grain, knots, mineral streaks and sapwood, between pieces and between the piece and its photos.
- Slight swelling, shrinking, cupping or bowing as humidity changes, as long as the piece stays stable and usable (under 1/8 in across 36 in of width).
- Hairline checks on the surface or end grain that don't go through the wood (narrower than 1/16 in).
- Bark edges, natural voids and filled knots in live-edge and slab pieces.
- Colour change from light: walnut lightens, oak and chestnut darken, and epoxy can yellow in sunlight.
What isn't covered
- Normal wear and tear: scratches, dents, rings, marks and worn finish on edges and tops.
- Damage from misuse, accidents, standing or sitting on tables, overloading, pets, heat (hot dishes, heaters, vents, fireplaces), water or spills left on the surface, or harsh cleaners.
- Cracks or warping caused by very dry or very damp rooms. Keep the room at about 35–55% humidity, away from radiators and air vents.
- Outdoor use, and use outside the countries listed above.
- Damage from dragging the piece instead of lifting it, or from not following our assembly instructions.
- Changes or repairs made by someone other than UPP Home or a repairer we approved.
- Floor samples, clearance and "as is" items, unless the sale said otherwise.
- Loss of use and other indirect costs. Damage in delivery is covered by our returns policy.
How to make a claim
- Email support@upphomestore.com with your order number, a short description, and photos or a short video, including one of the whole piece and a close-up.
- We reply within 2 business days and may ask for more photos or measurements.
- If the claim is covered, we choose the fix and arrange it at our cost.
What we will do
For a covered problem we will, at our choice, send a replacement part or a finish repair kit (with instructions or a video call), arrange a repair by our team or a local repairer we pay, replace the piece with the same design or one of equal value, or refund what you paid for the piece if none of these is possible. We pay the parts, labour and shipping for covered claims. A repaired or replaced piece is covered for the rest of the original warranty period.
Your legal rights
Any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last only as long as this written warranty. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Some states don't allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
